Right now I am on the couch wrapped in a blanket watching a Jerma985 VOD with my laundry going in the background as I type my weekly blog. Tonight I have to pack for a trip down to New Jersey to visit family for Christmas. It's part 2 of family Christmas, I ended up going down to visit my parents and brother (and his partner) on Friday since my brother is working on Christmas. I brought some sushi down and we exchanged gifts and played some board games. Got my parents a beach cart since they're going to Florida for a few months next week and I got my brother the classic Muji diffuser for his new condo. Was very relaxing!
Visiting my grandma and other extended family down in NJ will be fun too but I am kind of dreading the drive. It's about 5 hours if there's no traffic so hopefully since I'll be driving on Christmas day there won't be too much. But we'll see! I gotta get another one of those Hellboy audiobooks loaded up on my phone or something. I do have to "work" on friday but 80% of my coworkers are taking the day off so I doubt anything will happen. Also I want to try and visit some friends down there too (and play pinball lol) so we'll see!
The other big Christmas thing I did this week was our annual Christmas party. Nathan and I have been doing this for a few years although Connor started the tradition when we all first moved here. It's something I always look forward to every year - hosting friends, eating a lot of good food, having too much beer... I like having parties even though I'm definitely an overplanner lol. I'm already planning a couple things for the new year.
Anyway besides those it's been pretty quiet. I picked up Nubby's Number Factory and Heretic + Hexen on the Steam winter sale. Nubby is definitely a game I'm gonna get addicted to. My brother also got me Silent Hill f so that'll keep me busy too. January is definitely going to be a quiet stay in and not spend any money and just go crazy on the hobbies month I can feel it.
New year's next week. I want to write a little year in review post that will definitely not end up being little so look forward to that!
