Monday again. I had some friends over yesterday to hang out and play video games. We ended up bringing out my gaming pc to hook up to the tv to play street fighter 6 - my buddy uses a keyboard that splits into two halves to play and the playstation didn't register it. My computer is still unplugged and I'm kind of curious how long it'll be until I set it back up (probably Wednesday when I work from home but who knows lol).
Last week was pretty quiet, more Big Walk, more Baldur's Gate, more pinball. It's just about moving season in Boston so I've been getting a lot of really good furniture ads on facebook marketplace and I'm tempted by them. A lot of my bedroom furniture is cheapo Ikea furniture that's all dark plywood and some of it is pretty banged up so I would very much like to replace some of it. I might wait and test my luck with stuff on the street during the actual move in weekend next week. Speaking of moving though one of my friends moved down to Coolidge Corner and I stopped by on Friday to see her new apartment and get dinner. I don't go down that way too often so it was nice to pop into my favorite stores (Boston General renovated!) and we checked out a new bar down there too. Very fun. We got tempted by LA Burdick chocolate shop and their performative ice cream cart but no prices on anything scared us out of there lol. I got a new book too, medieval horror called Between Two Fires so excited to read it eventually.
Saturday my friends and I finished our DnD campaign!! It was a pretty quick one, I think we did 5 sessions and this last one we doubled up so we could wrap it up while we were all together. We had a great time, my friend is an excellent DM that knows how to keep the story going and not go too overboard with the combat. I hope we get to play again, I kind of want to work more on my character and actually trying to roleplay him more at the table when needed. Afterwards my group headed to the somerville theatre for their Catherine O'Hara tribute weekend and we saw Waiting for Guffman which was so funny, was exactly my sense of humor and now I need to watch all the other Cristopher Guest movies.
Yeah that's about it. I don't really feel like writing a ton this week but I think it would be fun to write a hobby related post this week so look out for that!
