Drinking with Skeletons

I'm being good and getting back to my monday blogging. I just wrapped up work which I did at home today because I ordered a switch 2 that is suppposed to be delivered today and I wanted to be there when it showed up so it wouldn't get swiped off the porch. And because it's being delivered by UPS I am still waiting for it.. Could have gone into the office today and not been annoyed by the really loud sounds of guys paving our building's driveway. At least it looks very nice!!

Super busy week last week, did something after work basically every day. Monday Connor was up visiting from San Diego and Delton came by that afternoon to eventually drive him up to Maine for a few days. Hung out around the apartment while Nathan and I worked from home, then we did the classic Bow Market/Third Time/State Park trifecta for drinks and dinner and various bar games. I suck at pool still! State Park is goated for having both Turn On The Bright Lights and Endtroducing on their jukebox. Then afterwards we played Halo 3 for a couple hours because of course we have to.

Tuesday was DnD night, I'm not sure if I've written that much about DnD on here but I've been playing in person with some friends and it has been super fun. My friend Michael is good at DMing and the story he made is paced really well and I like that its more about interacting with the world than just about combat. Also any tabletop rpg is just so much more fun playing in person and scheduled so in advance. Every other time I've tried to play a tabletop game (and it hasn't been many I have to admit) it's always online and we never actually finish. This one only being six sessions definitely helps too - and we left off on a good cliffhanger so I'm excited to play again this week!

Wednesday my pinball league did an outing to the Red Sox. That night was their Women's Celebration night and our friend Monique designed giveaway jerseys for it so we had to go and support. We ended up getting the very last two rows of bleachers and there were at least 30 of us there. It was sooo fun, perfect weather, they played great (total opposite from the last time I saw them in April!!) and I got to have beers and hot dogs with my friends so what could be better. I'm not the biggest baseball fan but I really enjoy going to Fenway, it really is such a fun summer thing to do. The games are a lot more watchable now than when I was a kid because of the pitch clock too which helps. I want to try and go one more time before the end of the season, maybe to another theme night if I can.

Pretty chill rest of the week - Thursday was split flip at pinball which was fun if a little too hot to be chilling outside between games, Friday I played the new game Big Walk with some friends, Saturday and Sunday were meals with friends and not much else days. I think going out or at least doing something with a friend every day is good for me. I remember this every time I work from home and I go a little stir crazy being alone. And I have to do it again tomorrow too so that someone can buy something from me on Fb marketplace. So it goes!!
