Drinking with Skeletons

I'm a day late with the weeknotes this week LOL. Yesterday I had some errands to run after work and accidentally waking up at 4am was taking its toll on me so I had like a paragraph written then I went to bed. But whatever at least I'm still writing weekly!!

Anyway there's a fuckton of snow outside. We got a foot and a half or something and we were supposed to get more last weekend but we didn't thankfully. It's fun kinda because everything looks really pretty and it was nice being cozy at home for a couple days but on Wednesday I tried to go to the office and I could not because the red line was not functioning. Waited over an hour for a train... one showed up every 25 minutes or so and they were all packed so people couldn't even get on. After the third attempt of trying to get onto a packed train my boss told me to just work from home for the week. That was nice but I was definitely going stir crazy from being at home. Ended up staying at pinball on Thursday until midnight and somehow played my best week of league ever (scored 26 out of a possible 28) so I was practically skipping home in joy.

Speaking of pinball I went to a second tournament on Sunday at the Sil, this one was for one of the folks in league who's running the marathon in a couple months and is raising money for charity as part of it. Was a great time, the format was one ball flipper frenzy try to win as many games as you can. And I won a handful which translated into a raffle prize of a delicious baguette from a local bakery - probably the best prize I've won in any pinball tournament. Very good time and got a delicious lunch at I Fresh Noodles and did some browsing at Replayd (and exhibited self control by not buying anything).

Other than that it's been a pretty quiet week. Had some friends over for an impromptu Xbox night and did the same tonight too. I've been trying to bring back inviting friends over to play video games and it's been kind of a lifesaver in these cold and snowy months. So excited for the lan party in a few weeks. And also excited for it to get a little bit warmer again.
